Ronda van de Romerweide
Ronda van de Romerweide is the first bitch from our own kennel, we kept for future. Ronda has a lot of character, but she is friendly. She loves to work for me. Ronda always loved to train in obedience and breitensport. In breitensport she also did a lot of matches.
In March 2003 she made her charactartest.
We planned to have a litter with Ronda in autumn 2003, but an accident changed plans. Ronda broke a leg in september 2003. Two weeks later it was her period. We had to skip this one. But in the summer 2004 Ronda was completely recovered. We went with her to Germany for mating.
Ronda had two litters, D-litter and K-litter. From these litters several dogs went abroad.
On the Clubmatch of the Hovawart Club Nederland 2006 Ronda became the best bitch. She had to show against Willow, our black bitch. Ronda became best, Willow became reserve best bitch. We couldn’t win from the father of Willow, Dutch Champion Biko van de Bremmerstee.
In November 2007 we went to the Winner in Amsterdam and Ronda became best of breed. She now earned her qualification for the Crufts.
We were at the Crufts in March 2008. I was very nervous. You could see this in my dog. She didn’t show the way we’re used to. But she still did well. She became the second bitch in the open class. We are welcome to come again next year.
We were at the Crufts again in March 2009. I took Ronda in the open Class, although I could have entered in Veteran. This might have been better, because she is really getting older. She was third in the open class. I was satisfied. We are allowed to come back next year. What I liked most this year on the Crufts was seeing back her granddaughter Ursine van de Romerweide.
In september 2009 Ronda was the best Champion bitch on the Clubshow of the HCN. With her nine years we are very proud of this. Her sister Rosenna van de Romerweide was the best Veteran of the show that year.
In september 2010 Ronda was the best Veteran on the Clubshow of the HCN. We are very proud that dogs of our kennel won this price twice.
